Custom roles let you create organization and team roles with the exact permissions your users need, instead of assigning only default roles. For example, create a role that lets a user view and run scenarios, without giving them access to billing, organization settings, or user management. Custom roles are available for Enterprise plan users only.

## What changed

Previously, you could only assign default organization and team roles, each with a fixed set of permissions. Now you can create your own role and choose permissions from a predefined list. Each permission controls a specific action, such as viewing organization details, managing users, or managing scenarios.

**Custom organization roles** control what users can access and manage across the organization, such as organization details, organization members, billing information, and organization settings.

**Custom team roles** control what users can access and manage in a specific team, such as scenarios, connections, webhooks, data stores, and templates.

Some permissions depend on others. When you enable or disable a permission, Make also enables or disables the related permissions it requires.

You can also edit, duplicate, and delete custom roles as your organization's needs change.
