Follow these tips to help Maia create more accurate scenarios in fewer interactions with you.
Specify the goal and workflow steps
A clear, detailed prompt helps Maia build scenarios that align with your expectations. Outline your goal, the step-by-step process for achieving it, and the apps used.
Prompt examples
- Create a scenario that watches all emails with the marketing label in Gmail, summarizes them with Claude, and sends a message with the summary to the private marketing-department channel in Slack.
- I want a scenario that uses OpenAI to analyze the sentiment of customer replies, then stores the sentiment analysis summary in Airtable.
- Build a scenario that watches for new Closed Won deals in Salesforce, creates an onboarding project in Asana, and sends a welcome email to the client with Claude and Gmail.
Keep prompts short
Focus on what you want the scenario to do, not your manual workflow. Multi-page prompts increase the chance that Maia overlooks specific steps or details. They also often produce large, complex scenarios, which can require more debugging or rebuilding than scenarios that you build gradually.
Test your scenarios
Test the scenarios that you build with Maia by clicking Run once. Ask Maia to modify them until they work as intended before activating and using them in production.
Collaborate with Maia
If any of Maia's steps don't make sense, ask her to explain, or give her feedback. Similarly, Maia sometimes needs more information from you to understand the logic of a scenario.
