REST Countries API v5 migration, Brevo contact attribute fix, and more app updates
Here's a quick look at our app updates this week.
REST Countries: App migration to API v5 requires immediate action
The REST Countries app has migrated to the v5 version of the REST Countries API, replacing the deprecated v2 version. Update your scenarios so they run on the new API version.
What's changing
- The app now requires an API key to connect.
- The v5 API returns data in a new format. All output fields from the Search by Country Code module have changed.
- A new Make an API Call module gives you access to any REST Countries API endpoint.
What you need to do
- Get a free API key at the REST Countries website.
- Open each scenario using a REST Countries app and create a new connection with your API key.
- Re-map the outputs in any module that uses fields from the Search by Country Code module. The old mappings are no longer valid.
Brevo: Category-type contact attribute mapping now required
The Brevo API changed how it identifies values for category-type attributes, such as language codes, and the Brevo app now uses that new format.
Update your scenarios that include the Create a Contact or Update a Contact module with category-type attributes, or Brevo ignores that attribute data. Affected scenarios still run without errors, but Brevo creates or updates contacts without their category information, and any previously mapped category attribute appears empty when you open an affected module.
To restore this data, open each affected module, re-select the value for any category-type attribute from the dropdown, and save the scenario.
Google Gemini AI: New Gemini 3.8 Flash model available
The Google Gemini AI app's Simple Text Prompt module now supports Google's Gemini 3.8 Flash model. Select this multimodal reasoning model from the module's model dropdown.
AWS Bedrock: New Claude Fable 5.1 model support
The AWS Bedrock app now supports Anthropic's Claude Fable 5.1 model in the Simple Text Prompt and Create a Message modules, with the Create a Message module updated to handle the model's specific parameter requirements.
Microsoft Advertising Conversions: New API module and connection security enhancement
The Microsoft Advertising Conversions app has a new Make an API Call module that makes authenticated calls to any Microsoft Advertising Conversions API endpoint. The connection setup now also masks the value you enter in the Client secret field, instead of showing it in plain text.
